‘I was looking for a trainer to help me with a young reactive dog. Marisa was recommended and I’m absolutely delighted with the help and advice she has given us.The paddock is lovely it’s safe and secure and after a few sessions I feel confident to work on my own. I would definitely recommend Marisa.’

-Karen B

‘Marisa came for a 1-1 training session today with our 5 month old border collie. Wow! That’s all I can say! Amazing. Can’t wait to work with you and Tommy more in the future. Thank you so much.’

-Tracy F

“We had an hour with Marisa in our home and she taught us lots of wonderful ways to engage our Border Collie in training. I took him for his first walk today and he was a like a different dog when I used the techniques learned from Marisa. 15 minutes in a disused basketball court doing recall and STOP and I felt ready to take him on a quiet lane. he did recall 100% and STOP 99%. I highly recommend Marisa- she will change your relationship with dog completely – for the better!”

“Our 4 dogs are snoozing happily at home after an hour’s play in the field. They loved every minute and we could relax and enjoy them playing knowing they were safe and secure. A brilliant experience we can’t wait to come back. Many thanks”

– Amanda

“We took our little reactive rescue dog to Paws n The Paddock yesterday. We used the enclosed field as a safe space to introduce him to and socialise him with our neighbours dog. Marisa was on hand to give some very much appreciated advice and guidance as how best to manage this and I think all would agree it was a very positive first meeting!! The field provides a safe secure open space where your four legged friend can run about to their heart’s content with plenty of toys/equipment to keep them amused. Marisa is a lovely friendly lady who clearly knows her stuff and was extremely helpful to us on the day!! Will definitely be back!!”

– Shazza

“Having started to use Marisa recently, I have found her to be very professional, knowledgeable and only too keen to make my dog’s daycare a pleasure and relaxing for Heidi. Marisa also gives Heidi, who is a Basset pup, 1 to 1 training once a week at a very reasonable cost. I could not praise this service highly enough and would recommend it to anyone”

“1st Marisa Spurgeon with Feel Free To Stare At Aramisty WSD losing 3.5. What a day Marisa, winning two red Rosettes. Very many congratulations. I know your work in my ring was quite stunning, even losing one point in scent and still finishing 1.5 points in front of the next competitor. With your excellent handling and training you will soon be in the top class. Look out you ticket handlers!! Very well done.”

– Judge Mish Stock

“1st: Mrs M Spurgeon and Feel Free to Stare at Aramisty Breed WSD
This was a lovely round, just what I love to watch, style with accuracy.
Your second novice I believe. A clear winner today and with work of this standard, Tommy must be on his way to an Obedience Warrant. Many Congratulations.”

– Judge Carol Hale

1st Marisa Spurgeon’s WS Seahawk Showstopper (a rescue from Bridgend Dogs Trust)
“A fabby round from this lovely young dog. Minimal points lost on both heelwork rounds and clear sets. A lovely, happy animated dog with a good future I think. Congratulations and good luck in A.”

– Judge Jackie Muir

“Another team I would just like to mention is Mrs Marissa Spurgeon with FEEL FREE TO STARE AT ARAMISTY. What an appropriate name cause I couldn’t help but stare at this dog. What a fantastic team who will be a force to be reckoned with. I have neber seen this team before but I won’t forget them. FANTASTIC.”

– Andrea Little

“Mrs M Spurgeon and FEEL FREE TO STARE AT ARAMISTY – W.S. Did I stare! Wow! Tommy is a real power house of a dog, but was just able to keep his enthusiasm under contron. All marks lost through keenness to get on with the job as quickly as possible. Good luck in ‘C’.”

– Janet Beverly

“Mrs Marisa Spurgeon and FEEL FREE TO STARE AT ARAMISTY (WS D). HW 1.25 Ret C, S/away 3, Scent 2. Lost 6.25. This dog knocks your socks off. Speed, accuracy and he did stays. Can’t see any reason for this team not doing well in C. This was Tommy’s last B. Well done.”

– D Faulkner

“Miss M A Keophaithool TRAJAN MURDYS MEANT TO BE W.S. I saw this team last year at this time of year but for a bit of bad luck would have won a ‘B’ class I was Judging. I can only assume the bad luck persisted because I was surprised to see her in this class today. Surprised and delighted because work of the calibre the team products is always a joy to witness. I could go on using superlatives but suffice to say it was outstanding and I do not expect to see better at this level all season. Very well done. Lost 3½.”
